Once home to and still owned by television journalist and broadcaster Lolita Ayala, Casa Vieja is an exquisite mansion that has been transformed into a luxury boutique hotel. The interior designer traveled throughout México to gather furniture, textiles, paintings, statuary, chandeliers and rugs reflecting vibrant aspects of Mexican culture. Walls are vividly hand-painted by artisans, and treasures from the proprietor’s personal art collection are on display for you to enjoy. The 10 suites include a 2-bedroom, 2-bathroom presidential suite, master suites with living room and 1-bedroom junior suites. There is a casual roof terrace restaurant bar, and an adjoining formal salon that serves traditional and modern cuisine by award-winning Chef Fernando Guadalupe, who is happy to prepare special requests according to your wishes.
