The nice thing about this hotel is that the staff go out of their way to be friendly and helpful, and to compensate guests if errors have been made in the booking arrangements. However the facilities throughout, i.e. the rooms, the public areas, restaurant, swimming pool etc, whilst clean, are all well overdue for refurbishment, and are looking tired. The biggest disappointment is breakfast. Whilst the traditional English fare is well-cooked, there is a limited range of alternatives, and the staff barely cope with the pressure. In all, staying there is an average kind of experience.
